University High School continues to attract and retain a faculty of the highest caliber. Equipped with outstanding skills, capable of motivating and inspiring their students, our teachers are fully dedicated to the development of their students. They possess a thorough knowledge of their subject matter and work to foster their students' intellectual, emotional and moral development.

Ours is an intellectually committed and professional faculty. Over three-quarters hold advanced degrees, and virtually all have substantial previous teaching experience. In addition to their myriad duties as teachers, advisors, club leaders, coaches and committee members, UHS faculty members systematically take time for their own professional growth. With the assistance of a sizable professional development fund, faculty attend and present papers at regional and national conferences, travel abroad during the summers, and remain actively involved in their own study and scholarship. The 33 men and 33 women of the UHS faculty serve as living examples to the students in their continual quest for knowledge and personal growth.
